Joshua Farahi, Principal

Mr. Farahi entered the financial industry in May of 2000 as a Registered Representative for a broker/dealer located in Beverly Hills, CA where he served in a number of business and compliance roles including Market Strategist, Branch Principal, Investment Advisor Representative, Options Principal, and as a risk and volatility analyst for a proprietary derivatives portfolio. Mr. Farahi dealt with high net individuals who required unique resolutions for unique financial needs. Helping his clients navigate the unfriendly markets of the first decade of the 21stcentury, Mr. Farahi focused on risk management and capital growth strategies to fulfill his client’s distinctive needs.

With nearly ten years of business and market experience Mr. Farahi launched Opes Capital Group, LLC in July of 2009. Using the invaluable lessons learned in the tumultuous markets of the preceding ten years Mr. Farahi helped develop the strategy that Opes Capital currently implements.

Michael Farhat, Principal

M. Michael Farhat has over 15 years investment experience in the financial industry. He started his career at Bear Stearns as a marketing executive, where he learned invaluable lessons in investments and client management. After one year at Bear Stearns, Mr. Farhat accepted a position from Merrill Lynch in 1998. After graduating as one of the top performers in the training program, he was able embark on a successful career as a financial advisor, working with Merrill Lynch from 1998 – 2001, Morgan Stanley for 2001-2003 and again with Merrill Lynch from 2003 -2010. From 2010 to 2013, he was an independent financial advisor with LPL and First Allied Securities. Today Mr. Farhat serves as a principal of Opes Capital Group LLC. Mr. Farhat has built an impressive book of business, managing millions of dollars for a variety of high net-worth individuals and business clients, advising them on all aspects of their financial well being. He currently holds a degree in business management from the Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University.
